Lead Pastor

Paul Kim

Paul is the lead pastor at 1128 Ministry. Originally from the Bay Area, he has lived in SoCal since 2013. He received a B.A. in Biblical Studies at Biola University and his M. Div at Westminster Seminary California, and in 2022, was ordained as a minister of the gospel by the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Paul is married to his wonderful wife, Sally, and they have two dogs together (Emma & Ollie). In his spare time you can find him at Enchanted Coffee or golfing with his friends all over Orange County.

Mark Yi

Mark is the Worship Director at 1128 Ministry. Born in Alaska and raised in Hawaii, he has called various parts of California home since 2013, including Central California, Malibu, the Valley, East LA, and now Orange County. He holds a B.S. in Statistics from Cal State Northridge and loves all things technology. Professionally, he works as a Product Manager in the EdTech field, focusing on creating tools that help students learn! Mark and his wife, Hoyun, got married in 2022 and moved to Orange County. They love visiting coffee shops together, so feel free to send them any and all reccs!

David Hong

David is the Pastoral Intern at 1128 Ministry. Born in Georgia and raised in New Jersey, David came to California in 2022 with a passion for studying the Word. He graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and began his M. Div program at Talbot School of Theology. Outside of ministry, David loves anything to do with the outdoors, especially fishing. He loves trying new things, such as hobbies and food, and he loves… LOVES to make people laugh.

Tyron Watanabe

Tyron is the College Director at 1128 Ministry. Born in Guam, he's lived in various parts of the US and Asia before settling in SoCal from high school onwards. He completed his B.A. in Creative Writing at UC Riverside in 2015 and is currently pursuing his M. Div in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Talbot School of Theology. He loves engaging stories and connecting with people. Tyron and his delightful wife Allison have been married since 2022, and have a dog and a cat together (Powder and Bo). They enjoy good matcha, coffee, and food, especially with good company!
